Het Nieuwe Instituut works with private and public organisations at the local, regional, national and international levels, functioning as a vital link between economics and culture, politics and society.
The Circle of Het Nieuwe Instituut is an association of contacts from various companies and organisations. The Circle is an active forum in which a range of visions of space, design and architecture are shared and discussed in an informal and private setting. Many member companies feel a natural social responsibility to support Het Nieuwe Instituut. In addition to the structural sponsorship afforded by membership of The Circle, the members also fulfil an ‘ambassador’ function for Het Nieuwe Instituut and thus support us through their networks in the business community.
Friends support Het Nieuwe Insituut and seek to promote interest in and knowledge of architecture, design and digital culture. Membership offers free entrance to exhibitions in Het Nieuwe Instituut and Huis Sonneveld, discounts for lectures, debates and seminars and invitations to openings. Friends can also join excursions in the Netherlands and abroad organised by and for the Friends.
Het Nieuwe Instituut regularly works with volunteers who take on the role of host/hostess and actively involve the public in the institute’s projects. Dialogue and interaction with the public are central to their activities. The volunteers provide specific information, answer questions and encourage participation, allowing the public to experience the exhibitions in a new way.
