The New Material Award brings together the work of eighteen designers and artists in the Netherlands who are pushing the boundaries of material potentials. The exhibition presents a rich tapestry of research, experimentation and transformation that celebrates the role of the designer. Following the successful awards ceremony during the last Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Het Nieuwe Instituut is giving the designers an international podium in Milan to spark debate and imagination.

The winner of the New Material Award is Olivier van Herpt and the winner of the New Material Fellowship is Diana Scherer.
